| The following is an index of
codes used by the Village of Rantoul Inspections
Department. You will need to contact the Building
Inspection Dept. at 217/893-1661 ext. 6826 to
schedule any and all inspections or you may contact
the individual
inspector at their above listed extension
number.

| ICC 2006 Edition of the International
Residential Code. Plan Review and building permits
are required and can be obtained at 333 S. Tanner
St., Rantoul, IL 61866. All types of permits are
required. Contractors bond is not required. Blue
prints are required for commercial and residential
and a licensed Architect Seal is required for
commercial building.

| For Commercial, use the ICC 2006
Edition of the International Electrical Code with
reference to NFPA 70 (NEC 2005 Edition) with local
modifications. Local license, registration fee,
contractors bond, permits and fees are required.
Reciprocal license from another municipality is
acceptable.

| Current State Plumbing Code,
with no local modifications. Plumbers license
is required. Permits and fees are required. Permit
is required for sewer & storm tap. Backflow
program is in effect. Person responsible
for the Backflow program: Greg Hazel.
Certificate should be mailed to Greg Hazel, 333
S. Tanner St., Rantoul, IL 61866. Type of backflow
program used: Containment and Isolation for sewer
only. A Reduced Pressure with By-Pass (RPDA) preventer
is required on the fire protection system. All
permits are to be obtained from the Inspection
Department.

| ICC 2006 Edition of the ICC International
Mechanical Code. Contractors bond and local license
are required.

Fire Code.

Energy Code and as of January 1, 2010 is now State
of Illinois law.

Property Maintenance Code.

Building Code. 2 roofs allowed before tear-off.
Permits and fees are required. A State of Illinois
roofing license is also required. |
