| Welcome to the Rantoul Fire Department
Web site. The Rantoul Fire Department exists to
save the lives of people threatened by fire, entrapment,
disaster, or accident and to curtail the suffering
of persons who’s lives or property are exposed
to, or likely to be exposed to, similar perils
by: Effective risk management to reduce the
occurrence and effect of these perils, Emergency
suppression and control of accidental and destructive
fires, Providing for the relocation or rescue
of endangered persons and, Providing support functions
to the other village departments.
The department is made up of 33
Firefighters
including the Chief, two Assistant Chiefs, three
Captains, and 28 Firefighters, operating out of
three stations. The Fire Department provides fire
suppression, emergency rescue operations, community
fire safety education, emergency planning, and
disaster support activities.
