Customer Service

The Village of Rantoul's Utility Billing Office currently serves approximately 6000 Village residences with their utility billing related questions, concerns and/or needs. The current utility services provided by the Village of Rantoul are electric, water, wastewater, and gas (on the former Chanute Air Force Base).

The Utility Office is open from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday. For convenience, all utility bills may be paid via mail, walk-in, drive through or bank draft. If you have any questions relating to your bill please contact Carla Toliver, Utilities Supervisor, at 217-892-6857 or by e-mail.

Direct Pay Using Your Bank Account
Paying your Village of Rantoul utility bill is easier than ever. Utility customers can pay their Village utility bills through direct withdrawal from their checking account. Customers will continue to receive a bill each month but the payment will be made by directly charging their checking account. The payment will be made on the customer’s billed due date. There is no cost to the customer for this service. The direct payment method can be started or stopped at any time with sufficient prior notice. We will need a voided blank check to get the correct bank routing information. This is a great way to save time and money: no standing in line, no mailing and avoid the possibility of ever being late with a payment.

Illinois E-Pay System
The Illinois E-Pay system allows customers to pay their bills conveniently on the Internet. You can pay using your major credit card or by e-check. This program is operated by the State of Illinois and there is a $3.50 convenience charge for using the service. This fee is not charged or collected by the Village of Rantoul.
