Commission Overview
The Planning & Zoning Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the Village Board. It discusses and reviews various land-use and related issues. It also considers preliminary and final subdivision plats, zoning changes, request for variances, and annexation agreements.
Commission Meetings
The Planning & Zoning Commission meetings are scheduled as needed, and they are held at the Village of Rantoul Municipal Building in the Louis B. Schelling Memorial Board Room located at 333 S. Tanner Street, Rantoul, IL 61866.

Commission Meeting Agendas are made available 48 hours prior to the meetings. Following approval, the Meeting Minutes are published online.
Commission Members
Ordinance 2510 requires that the Commission consist of seven members who have been a resident of the Village of Rantoul for at least one year, and each member serves a four year term. Members are paid for each Planning & Zoning Commission meeting held.
