[ARCHIVED] Rantoul Police Department Accepting Experienced Officer Applications

Experienced Police Officer

The Rantoul Police Department is currently accepting lateral applications for the position of experienced Police Officer. Applications are currently available at the Rantoul Police Department, 109 East Grove Avenue, Rantoul, Illinois 61866, or online at the following link . Completed applications must be postmarked or received at the Rantoul Police Department no later than January 31, 2017. 

To be eligible for the Experienced Police Officer Hiring Program, an individual must meet the following qualifications; 21 years of age, no felony convictions, excellent physical condition, and a high school graduate or equivalent. In addition, a non-probationary police officer or previous non-probationary police officer who is currently in good standing in the police department in which the person serves or has left the department in which such person served in good standing. 

The Village of Rantoul offers a competitive benefits package. The starting salary for a lateral entry police officer is currently $55,815 annually.
