1. Who can participate in the clean-up day event?

Only Utility Customers who pay for garbage service through the Village of Rantoul.

2. If I have a Village utility bill, and the fee for garbage service is included in my rent, can I participate in this event?

No. This indicates that your complex Does Not Participate in the Village Contract with Area Waste Disposal.

3. What type of items are acceptable?

Old Furniture, Mattresses, Carpet, Appliances, old Fencing, Toys, Bicycles and such.

4. What Type of Items are Non-Acceptable?

Regular Household Trash, Yard waste, Hazardous waste or paint, Tires, Electronics, L.P. Tanks, Vehicle Batteries, Construction waste over 2.5 cu yds.

5. Can I return with a 2nd or 3rd load?

Yes

6. Will you take A/C window units?

Yes

7. Will you take water heaters?

Yes

8. Will you take stoves / dryers / refrigerators?

Stoves and Dryers = YES   Refrigerators – ONLY the Small Dorm type.

9. Will you take cardboard?

Yes. 

If a resident has garbage service they can get a Free Recycle Bin through Area Waste Disposal.  

Cardboard can be broken down and placed inside the bin. If too large, stack it, tie it up, place it beside the Recycle Bin and Area Waste will pick it up. 

10. Will you take lumber from fences?

Yes.  Approximately 3.5 cu yards.

11. Will you take concrete?

Yes.  Small amounts under 2.5 cu yards.

12. Will you take turn tables, telephones, printers, monitors, etc.?

No.  These are electronics (Please look for the next county wide electronics collection event)
